When the members of Salamanca Band arrived in the COAF SMART Center to take part in SMARTConnects, they immediately got surrounded by excited kids that were eager to try their musical instruments and take selfies with them.
Gayane Kharatyan, 17, is a member of the COAF SMART Center Up SOS band. She was happy to learn that SMARTConnects was going to host Mher Manoukian, the co-founder and lead singer of the Vanadzor-based Lav Eli band.
“Why do people climb mountains, after all? Why do they risk their lives?” a COAF SMART Center student asked Gevorg Gasparyan, a mountaineer and a hiking expert.
The kids were excited to learn that Houry was the first female gymnast to represent Armenia at the Summer Olympic Games!
