COAF’s English programs empower students and teachers in rural Armenia by providing crucial language and critical thinking skills necessary for academic and employment success. Over the past decade, our English Access and English for Rural Schools programs have reached 5,500+ beneficiary students, teachers and alumni, transforming lives and opening doors to new opportunities.
COAF’s formal and non-formal English education programs are designed for both students and teachers. Through the English for Rural Schools and Language Horizons programs, public school teachers unlock English language learning, teacher development, and tap into the invaluable ability to inspire students to learn. Our work on developing new school textbooks is also a significant part of our initiative, equipping our newly trained teachers with the highest standards in English curriculum and helping them shape 21st century skills in their students.
With our non-formal education, the English Access program, we offer rural youth an opportunity not only to significantly improve their English language but also foster democratic values, personal growth, the desire to contribute to community development, and intercultural competence.
Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that employs community-led approaches aimed at improving the quality of life in rural Armenia, with particular focus on children and youth.
