When, in 2015, COAF completely renovated a school in Hatsik village (Armavir province), the dwellers called it “the beginning of a new life.”
In 2021, COAF reimagined what an Armenian village can be like. We came up with an innovative rural development model called “SMART village”․
Ten months have passed since the outbreak of the war in Artsakh. Still the war hardly concluded in the lives of so many families.
Everything has its own time” is also true for the period children begin to improve their social or communication difficulties.
“Thanks to the SMART Center, we didn’t leave the village,” says Ariga Melkonyan, a mother of four, whose all kids attend the COAF SMART Center.
Even if you’re miles away from Debet, trust us, this library can become your next favorite place, and here’s why.
The COAF car gradually reaches the village school, and as soon as it stops, the kids hurry up to open the door from the outside and greet their coach.
May 27, 2021, marked three years since the COAF SMART Center opened its doors in front of the youth and adults of the Lori region.
Starting life with a clean slate at a new home is the sole beam of hope and comfort to the many Artsakhian people displaced by the war.
We – the most adaptable creatures in the entire universe – have learned to live or even travel with it.
Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that employs community-led approaches aimed at improving the quality of life in rural Armenia, with particular focus on children and youth.
