BEES (Beekeeping to Empower Economic Systems) is a unique social enterprise by the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) that began in 2022, in the Debed Village in Armenia’s Lori region. Our mission is to produce high-quality, raw honey from the hills and canyons of picturesque Lori, while fostering economic growth, community empowerment, and education in the rural regions of Lori, Armenia. Every dollar from purchases of BEES honey supports COAF’s educational programs for rural youth, such as the SMART Center in Lori.

At the COAF Beekeeping Center our beneficiaries undergo training from bee and honey experts from around the world. They cover topics like innovative beekeeping, the nature of bees, beehive types, apiary management, life in beehives, and equipment use. We focus on inclusivity and gender equality by actively engaging women in our training programs.
