Help COAF raise $120,000 for the annual operating budget of the Child and Family Center (CFC) in the village of Karakert (Armavir region), which serves over 400 children and their families from 5 underserved rural communities. By addressing critical resource gaps, COAF aims to equip both children and their families with the tools they need to help each child reach their full potential. The Karakert CFC offers vital access to early education, healthcare, and social services. Our comprehensive approach has a proven track record of success, resulting in child readiness for primary schooling, emotional and intellectual growth, and increased well-being.
Our Early Childhood Education program features multidisciplinary educational activities for children ages 3 to 6, including art, music, drama, play, and physical engagement. These experiences are designed to help children discover their unique strengths and ignite their curiosity.
Our Psychological Services focus on nurturing the mental well-being of children. We also provide essential psychological counseling and support for parents, helping them address challenges their children face such as learning difficulties, bullying, and school-related stress.
Our Speech Therapy Program offers both individual and group sessions to help children master communication skills. This program supports school readiness and pre-literacy development, challenging stigmas around therapy.
Our Social Work Services leverage the expertise of dedicated local social workers to address the urgent social and economic needs of rural families. Through thorough assessments, our team helps individuals and families uncover hidden potential, connect with essential resources, and tackle the root causes of inequality.

Before attending the Child and Family Center (CFC) in Karakert, Miqayel had not spoken a single word until the age of three. His mother, concerned about his development, reached out to our social worker, who suggested he enroll in the speech therapy services at the CFC. Miqayel has made remarkable progress in his communication skills as a result of this support and of participating in the Child Development Corner, where he worked with a psychologist as well. His journey underscores the importance of early intervention and professional support. Today, Miqayel is thriving, connecting with others, and confidently expressing himself.
