YOUR ROLE

If you are creative, passionate, and self-determined, and have experience in shooting and editing a variety of videos, then the role of COAF’s (Children of Armenia Fund) Videographer & Editor is perfect for you. More specifically:

YOUR TEAM

You will be joining the Communications team at COAF and will work under the leadership of the COAF Creative Manager.

YOU WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS

  • Create and produce high-quality content, including video, motion graphics, animation, and still photography, covering COAF programs, activities, events, and promotional materials.
  • Develop video concepts and create storyboards before shooting.
  • Plan, develop, and execute the shooting and production of exceptional content that captures the heart of COAF’s mission and the rural communities of Armenia.
  • Manage camera operation, lighting, and sound, as well as talent direction both on location and on-site.
  • Assist in the strategic development of initiatives involving video production, motion graphics, and animation.
  • Edit videos for a variety of lengths and platforms.
  • Manage the digital footage archive.
  • Maintain brand consistency and adhere to brand standards in all content.
  • Maintain equipment.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends in video production and storytelling.

YOU

We expect more from you and require that:

YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional background in videography.
  • Knowledge and practical use of contemporary video editing tools and software.
  • 4+ years of experience in video shooting and editing.
  • A creative mind and a team player.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Armenian language.
  • Highly organized, responsible, and detail-oriented personality.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Readiness for frequent travel (sometimes overnight) to the villages of Armenia.
  • Advanced knowledge of video storytelling.
  • Shooting and editing skills in a documentary style.
  • Experience with storyboarding.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work on tight deadlines.
  • Skill in pitching ideas in a compelling manner.
  • Advanced use of all video equipment (including microphones and lights).
  • Advanced editing ability (video and sound).

WE ARE

The “Children of Armenia” Charitable Fund (COAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization aimed at improving the quality of life in rural Armenia, with a particular focus on children and youth. COAF’s target development areas are education, healthcare, child and family services, as well as social and economic development. COAF launched its programs in 2004, starting in one village and expanding to 82 villages and communities across the country with an investment of more than $70 million, impacting well over 107,000 people across rural Armenia.

Since 2015, COAF has developed and started implementing SMART Initiatives. COAF SMART is designed to advance a generation across the rural world through education that will benefit individuals, societies, and the environment. COAF SMART is an exemplary model of development and is presently being replicated in other regions and communities throughout Armenia. The first COAF SMART Center was inaugurated on May 27, 2018 near the village of Debed, Lori Region.
